The Indian Institute of Management, Ahmedabad is undoubtedly the best management school in the country. It was the second Indian Institute of Management which was established after IIM Calcutta. Admission Process: Overview

The Indian Institute of Management, Ahmedabad (IIM A) is India’s premier management institute. The institute was set up in 1961 and ever since it has been imparting world-class business and management education.
IIM A is consistently rated among some of the best business schools across India and around the world. The MHRD-NIRF rankings of 2018 listed IIM A as the Number 1 management institute in India. Business Today and Outlook magazines too rated IIM A number one in their annual B-school rankings for 2020. IIM A was ranked 21st in Financial Times Masters in Management Rankings 2020 and 29th in Financial Times Global Ranking 2017.
IIM A’s Post-Graduate Programme in Food and Agri-Business Management (PGP-FABM) was in fact ranked number one globally in the Eduniversal Best Master's Ranking in Agribusiness/Food Industry Management (2020).

    • The candidate must have completed Graduation with at least 50% marks in aggregate or equivalent in CGPA from a recognized university

    • In case of the candidate belonging to Scheduled Caste (SC)/Scheduled Tribe (ST)/Differently Abled (DA) or Persons with Disabilities (PWD) category, minimum cutoff in Graduation is 45%

     

    • Candidates in final year graduation or awaiting their results, are also eligible to apply. However, they will have to submit the original passing certificate for final year by June end, until then their admission will be provisional

    PGP-FABM

     
    • The candidate must have completed Graduation or Post Graduation in Agricultural Science or Agriculture related subjects with at least 50% marks in aggregate or equivalent in CGPA from a recognized university

    • In case of the candidate belonging to Scheduled Caste (SC)/Scheduled Tribe (ST)/Differently Abled (DA) or Persons with Disabilities (PWD) category, minimum cutoff in Graduation is 45%

     

    • Candidates not having Bachelor's or Master's degree in Agri subjects can also apply but they must have a strong interest in agriculture, food, rural and allied sectors. Such candidates will be required to submit a special form

     

    • Candidates in final year graduation or awaiting their results, are also eligible to apply. However, they will have to submit the original passing certificate for final year by June end, until then their admission will be provisional

    • The candidate must have completed Graduation from a recognized university

    • The candidate must not be younger than 27 years in the year of admission. There is no upper age limit

     

    • A minimum of four years of work experience after completion of Graduation is mandatory

     

     

    ePGP
    • The candidate must have completed Graduation/CA/ICWA with at least 50% marks in aggregate or equivalent CGPA from a recognized university
    • Working professionals and entrepreneurs with at least three years of full-time work experience
    • The candidate must not be less than 24 years of age in the year of admission

     

    Admission criteria:

    Admission to IIM Ahmedabad’s various management programmes are done on the basis of CAT/GMAT/GRE or IIMA Admission Test. These tests are followed by WAT, GD/PI after which selected candidates are offered seat.

    Final selection for admission is done on the basis of various parameters, including academic history, extra-curricular activities and work experience.
