MAT 2025 February session exam dates are released. All India Management Association (AIMA) has released the application form on the official website mat.aima.in. The last date to register for PBT and CBT modes is March 2 and March 9, 2025, respectively. MAT 2025 PBT exam will be conducted on March 9, 2025, and CBT mode will be on March 23, 2025.

MAT exam occurs four times a year in multiple sessions: 1 February, 2 May, 3 September, and 4 December. It will be conducted in multiple modes. You can choose the mode of exam according to your convenience. The registration fees for all the modes are the same, i.e., Rs 2100. If someone attemps the exam in both PBT and CBT mode, then the registration fee is Rs 3600.

MAT Registration Process 2025

MAT application form 2025 for CBT and PBT is common. Candidates who wish to appear for the MAT exam, can fill the form by following the below given process:

  • Go to AIMA-MAT website: https://mat.aima.in/
  • Click on 'register' option
  • Enter name, date of birth, email ID, mobile phone number, state, city, test mode and a password
  • Use the ID shared in  email and phone for authentication
  • In the next page, select preferred test mode (CBT, PBT, IBT) test cities and five preferred B-Schools
  • Make fee payment of INR 2,100 via debit/credit card, net banking or e-wallet 
  • Enter academic and other details in the MAT 2025 application form
  • Upload a recent passport size photo and scanned signature
  • Complete the process by hitting submit button
  • An acknowledgement regarding MAT form submission will be shared in email

Note: MAT PBT and MAT CBT test centres are allotted in different cities. Thus, when selecting a test mode, do check if it is available in your city or not. MAT test city once selected cannot be changed after form submission. Thus, candidates must select their options carefully.

Q:   Is the MAT application fee different for IBT, PBT and CBT?

A: 

The MAT application fee is same for all exam modes. The fee amount to be paid is INR 2100 for every single attempt irrespective of the exam mode. If a candidate wishes to combine two attempts (e.g. IBT+IBT, PBT+CBT, IBT+PBT, IBT+CBT), then they will have to pay INR 1500 additionally. Those who opt for additional test will get the benefit of additional 2 Management Institutes for sending their scores in addition to existing option of selecting 5 Management Institutes.

If you wish to take the MAT exam in following combination, then you will have to pay INR 3,600.

Q:   How to select MAT test cities in the application form?

A: 
AIMA MAT provides two options as test city. Candidates have to select any two cities from the list mentioned in the online application form for test centre allotment. The MAT test cities are different for PBT and CBT, thus candidates must make sure they choose the mode of exam which will be conducted in their cities of preference. Candidates opting for MAT IBT exam do not have to select any test city as it is a remote proctored test and can be taken from any location. The option to select test city to MAT CBT and PBT candidates is given in the application form. Candidates have to fill their options in the form where the field appears. 1. Register for MAT session at AIMA MAT website 2. Login with the application number shared by AIMA and password 3. Fill the relevant fields in the first page of the application form 4. Select the exam mode from the drop down 5. Select any two cities from the drop down on the relevant page 6. Make fee payment and fill the rest of MAT application form 7. Click on submit to confirm exam registration.

How to Apply for MAT 2025

  • Step-1: Visit the website of MAT.
  • Step-2: Enter the valid email Id and mobile number for applying to receive OTP for verification.
  • Step-3: Now login using allotted details to complete the registration procedure.
  • Step-4: Select the exam mode, test city choices, payment mode, and other details to complete the process.
  • Step-5: Upload the scanned documents like recent color photo and signature on white paper with black pen in specific format.
  • Step-6: Fill the details such as personal, qualifications and experiences, and choices for management institutes (MI).
  • Step-7: Submit the details by clicking on the “Submit” button.
  • Step-8: Take a hardcopy of the filled application form for further usage.

MAT 2025 Admit Card

TAIMA will release the MAT admit card 2024 of the registered applicants before the each mode of the entrance exam. The admit card will be issued around two to three days before the exam date. The admit card will be released on March 17, 2025 after 5 PM.

Only registered candidates will be able to download the admit card by login into their dashboard with details like registered email ID and password. It will be mandatory for the registered candidates to carry a valid photo ID along with the admit card. No candidates will be allowed to appear in the exam without a valid admit card and a valid ID proof.

MAT Eligibility Criteria

Candidates need to pay attention to the MAT eligibility criteria before applying for the entrance examination. The required eligibility criteria for appearing in the exam are:

  • Qualification: Candidates must possess a graduation degree in any discipline.
  • Age Limit:  There is no specific age limit prescribed for appearing in the MAT exam.
  • Appearing:  Candidates appearing in the final exam are also eligible to apply.
  • Number of Attempts: No such limit is specified for appearing in the MAT exam.

 MAT 2025 Exam Pattern

Here we have provided the exam pattern of MAT 2025 examination:

  • Mode of Exam: The exam will be conducted through both Computer Based Test (CBT), Paper Based Test (PBT) and IBT modes.
  • Duration: Total 2 and half hours will be provided to solve the exam.
  • Section: There will be total 5 sections in the question paper.
  • Total Questions: Total 200 questions will be asked in the exam.
  • Type of Questions: Multiple Choice Questions (MCQs) will be asked.
  • Marking Scheme: For each correct answer, 1 mark will be awarded.
  • Negative Marking: 0.25 marks will be deducted for every wrong answer.

MAT 2025 Preparation Tips

Candidates can check some beneficial MAT preparation tips to achieve a better rank in the entrance exam:

MAT 2025 Score Card

The MAT result 2025 will be announced in the month of March 2025. It will be released through online mode only. On the website of AIMA, the result of PBT, CBT, and IBT mode will be released.

The MAT scorecard 2025 will be downloaded with the help of login details like application form number and a roll number of the candidates. The scorecard will be valid for one year only from the examination session chosen by the candidates.

MAT 2025 Counselling Process

The MAT counselling 2025 will be organized by the participating institutes as AIMA will not conduct any MAT counselling procedure. After the declaration of the result, counselling procedure will commence by the authority.

Candidates will be required to carry their documents along with them for the verification procedure. Candidates will be selected for admission on the basis of their MAT score, category, and availability of seats in colleges.
