B. Sc. Nursing is a four-year undergraduate programme focused on developing critical care advanced thinking skills proficiency and values necessary for the practice of professional nursing and midwifery as mentioned in the National Health Policy 2002. The programme is streamlined to enable students to address the health needs of the nation society and individuals.The programme prepares students to become responsible citizens by following a code of moral values and conduct at all times while fulfilling personal social and professional responsibilities to respond to national objectives.

B.Sc Nursing also comprises a Post-Basic course which is further divided into 2 categories, viz Regular and Distance. B.Sc Nursing Post-Basic Regular course is of 2-year duration and requires 10+2 education along with General Nursing and Midwifery (G.N.M) whereas distance course is of 3-year duration and requires 10+2 level of education along with G.N.M and 2 years of experience

B.Sc. (Nursing): What is it about?

B.Sc. (Nursing): Eligibility Criteria

Candidates who wish to pursue B.Sc Nursing course are required to fulfill the below mentioned eligibility criteria.

B.Sc (Basic) - Candidates should pass 10+2 in Physics, Chemistry and Biology and he/she should be medically fit.

B.Sc (Post-Basic) – Candidates should pass 10+2 in PCB. Those who have passed 10+1 are also eligible for admission. He/She must have obtained a certificate in General Nursing and Midwifery and registered as R.N.R.M (Registered Nurse Registered Midwife) with the State Nurses Registration Council.     B.Sc Nursing admission is purely based on entrance exams held in between April-June. Candidates can fill the application form in both online and offline mode.

    For filling online, candidates need to go to the administrator website of the concerned entrance exam and fill the requirements. After that, a print out of the completed form is to be taken out. The print out along with the obligatory documents and DD of specified amount are needed to be sent to the relevant exam body. For offline application, candidates need to get the form along with the brochure from the exam conducting body or from the designated centers and can finish the formality.

    B.Sc. (Nursing): Salary Trends

    The average salary offered to candidates of B.Sc Nursing course ranges from INR 10,000 to 25,000 depending on the college, degree and level of expertise.     BSc Nursing Admission 2024:

    BSc Nursing Admission 2024 is based on a state or national-level entrance exam. Candidates must qualify for the NEET exam to seek BSc Nursing Admission in top nursing colleges. States either conduct a counseling round after the NEET exam or conduct a state-level entrance exam to offer BSc Nursing Admission 2024. NTA has revised the NEET Eligibility Criteria, as per which candidates with Biology as an additional subject are eligible to apply and there is no upper age limit to apply for NEET 2024.

    BSc Nursing Admission will be based on the NEET 2024 exam for top government medical colleges. NTA has released the NEET 2024 exam dates to offer BSc Nursing Admission in top medical colleges. NEET 2024 will be conducted on May 05, 2024. BSc Nursing Admission in AIIMS is done based on AIIMS Paramedical Exam followed by a counselling session. AIIMS Paramedical Exam Date is June 08, 2024. Candidates seeking Maharashtra BSc Nursing Admission must qualify for the MH BSc Nursing Exam, scheduled for May 09 – 10, 2024.

    BSc Nursing Course is a 4-year undergraduate paramedical nursing course. To be eligible for BSc Nursing Admission 2024, a candidate must score 50% marks in class 12 with Biology, Physics, and Chemistry as compulsory subjects.

    All the colleges offer admission to BSc nursing courses on the basis of an entrance examination conducted either by NTA or the colleges themselves. Several states also offer BSc Nursing Admission based on a state-level exam followed by a counselling process. Candidates must fulfill the minimum eligibility criteria to seek BSc Nursing Admission 2024.
