Common Admission Test (CAT) is a national-level entrance test for admission to MBA or PGDM programmes in top MBA colleges like IIMs, IITs and many more.The CAT exam notification is expected to be out on July 30, 2025. The CAT 2025 is a computer-based examination held in various centres across the country with a duration of 40 minutes per section (Total 120 minutes). CAT 2025 Cut Off

It's important to note that the Indian Institutes of Management (IIMs) will release separate CAT cut-off scores for the academic year 2024-26. Each IIM has its admission process, which may involve multiple steps. However, the newer IIMs follow a Centralised Admission Process (CAP). Candidates should thoroughly review the IIM selection processes and other B-schools they wish to apply to understand the specific requirements and procedures.

CAT 2025 Admission Procedure

The CAT 2024 registration process will begin in the first week of August 2024 and go on till the third week of September 2023. The official notification for the same will be released on July 30, 2024. The CAT is a moderate to high difficulty level exam thus it is important to start preparing early.

CAT 2025 Answer Key

CAT 2025 Final Answer Key has been released on December 5, 2025. The CAT (Common Admission Test) is management entrance examination organized at national level. This exam is conducted by various IIMs rotationally for selecting students for admissions in various management programmes. It has been organized by Indian Institute of Management (IIMs).

CAT 2025 Result

CAT 2025 results are expected to be announced in the month of December 21, 2025. To access the CAT results, candidates can visit the CAT official website and click on the link provided for CAT 2025 results. They will need to enter their login credentials, including the CAT ID and password. The CAT scorecard will remain valid for a year until 2025.

CAT 2025 Admit Card

4. The CAT admit card is a mandatory document that must be carried out on the day of the examination.

CAT 2025 Exam Pattern

• The CAT 2025 will be conducted online. Candidates are expected to have basic computer usage knowledge.
• There will be both MCQ and non-MCQ-type questions in all three sections.
• There will be a penalty of ⅓ marks for wrong answers in case of MCQs. Non-MCQs don’t have a negative marking scheme looking at the previous year's patterns.
• Each section will be allotted 40 minutes. Candidates will have to solve questions under the time constraints.

Syllabus for CAT 2025

The CAT 2025 syllabus is not officially specified by the authorities. It is based on the topics from which the questions are asked in the exam. For CAT 2025 aspirants knowing the CAT syllabus is the first step toward planning an effective preparation strategy. Verbal Reading Comprehension:

CAT 2025 Preparation Tips

The following CAT preparation tips can help candidates prepare effectively for their CAT 2025 exam.

• Create a daily study schedule for CAT 2025 by organising the syllabus into sections and allocating time for each of them.
• Opt for self-study or enroll in coaching classes, utilising reliable study resources.

• Scanned copy of Caste Certificate
• Bachelor degree marks certificates and provisional certificates
• Scanned photograph and signature images
• Class 10th and 12th passing certificate/ Mark sheet, etc.

Candidates can submit CAT 2025 Application fee through online mode only.

Payment mode: The payment can be done using Credit card/ Debit card/ Net Banking and UPI payment gateways only.

CAT 2024 Eligibility Criteria

Candidates to appear in CAT 2025 should fulfill the eligibility criteria. The eligibility criteria for CAT are mentioned below:

• A Bachelor’s degree from a UGC-recognized university (BSc/ B.Tech/ BE/ B.Arch/ Humanities etc)
• A minimum of 50% score in bachelor’s degree for General, OBC and 45% for SC, ST, PWD/DA category
• Professional degree such as CA/ CS/ ICWA with the minimum acceptable percentage
• There’s no upper cap for the age limit. Working professionals who have completed their bachelor’s degree, seeking managerial positions can apply.
• Work experience is preferred but not mandatory.
• Final-year bachelor’s degree students can apply for the CAT 2025. However, final admission is subject to such candidates completing their bachelor’s degree.
