Common Admission Test (CAT) is a national-level entrance test for admission to MBA or PGDM programmes in top MBA colleges like IIMs, IITs and many more. IIM Calcutta is expected to conduct the CAT 2024 on November 24, 2024 across 167 cities. The CAT exam notification is expected to be out in the last week of July 2024. CAT 2024 Overview

CAT 2024 Cut Off

It's important to note that the Indian Institutes of Management (IIMs) will release separate CAT cut-off scores for the academic year 2024-26. Each IIM has its admission process, which may involve multiple steps. However, the newer IIMs follow a Centralised Admission Process (CAP). CAT 2024 Admission Procedure

The CAT 2024 registration process will begin in the first week of August 2024 and go on till the third week of September 2023. The official notification for the same will be released on July 30, 2024. The CAT is a moderate to high difficulty level exam thus it is important to start preparing early.

CAT 2024 Answer Key

CAT 2023 Final Answer Key has been released on 21st December 2023. The CAT (Common Admission Test) is management entrance examination organized at national level. This exam is conducted by various IIMs rotationally for selecting students for admissions in various management programmes. It has been organized by Indian Institute of Management (IIMs).

CAT 2024 Result

CAT 2024 Exam Pattern

• The CAT 2024 will be conducted online. Candidates are expected to have basic computer usage knowledge.
• There will be both MCQ and non-MCQ-type questions in all three sections.
• There will be a penalty of ⅓ marks for wrong answers in case of MCQs. Non-MCQs don’t have a negative marking scheme looking at the previous year's patterns.
• Each section will be allotted 40 minutes. Candidates will have to solve questions under the time constraints.

CAT is a business aptitude exam that tests candidates on their analytical, and critical thinking abilities. The CAT exam syllabus comprises 3 sections viz. Verbal Ability and Reading Comprehension (VARC), Data Interpretation and Logical Reasoning (DILR), and Quantitative Aptitude (QA).

CAT 2024 Preparation Tips

As per last year's trends, the IIM will announce the CAT 2024 exam date in July 2024. CAT 2024 is one of the most challenging MBA entrance exams. To prepare for the CAT 2024, candidates can follow these tips:

CAT 2024 Application Form

According to the expected CAT 2024 exam form date for 2024, the application form is anticipated to be released in the first week of August. The CAT 2024 registration will be conducted online, and candidates who wish to appear for CAT 2024 can fill out the form on the official website - iimcat.ac.in. To complete the registration, candidates will need to pay the CAT registration fee, which is approximately Rs 2300 for the general category and Rs 1150 for reserved categories. Please note that these fee amounts are tentative and subject to change

• Scanned copy of Caste Certificate
• Bachelor degree marks certificates and provisional certificates

Candidates can submit CAT 2024 Application fee through online mode only.

CAT 2024 Eligibility Criteria

Candidates to appear in CAT 2024 should fulfill the eligibility criteria. The eligibility criteria for CAT are mentioned below:

• A Bachelor’s degree from a UGC-recognized university (BSc/ B.Tech/ BE/ B.Arch/ Humanities etc)
• A minimum of 50% score in bachelor’s degree for General, OBC and 45% for SC, ST, PWD/DA category
• Professional degree such as CA/ CS/ ICWA with the minimum acceptable percentage
• There’s no upper cap for the age limit. Working professionals who have completed their bachelor’s degree, seeking managerial positions can apply.
• Work experience is preferred but not mandatory.
• Final-year bachelor’s degree students can apply for the CAT 2024. However, final admission is subject to such candidates completing their bachelor’s degree.
